We are the Champions!

Tobin's team won the holiday winter tournament!  It was exciting for us to watch because this was the first time that Tobin had started.  having played an extra month of football we weren't sure when that would happen and were excited when it happened during the tournament!  The coach really has a deep bench and I feel that the second team is as good as the first and is interchangeable (which does happen as the coach seems to make changes a lot).  It was an easy win the first night, 83-44 or something ridiculous like that.  When I asked Tobin what the score was, he said, "It was a little to a lot!"
The next night was tougher.  We went back and forth for a while and then they got a 10 point lead.  However, after half time QO came back strong and won in the last second with a buzzer beater shot!  Everyone played great and it was fun to watch.  Here is a link to the article of the first night's win.  Surprisingly it has a picture of Tobin when the article is all about two of the other players.  http://www.gazette.net/article/20121227/SPORTS/712279881/1023/1023/defense-hot-night-key-for-qo&template=gazette 

After the game, the shooting coach, coach Jordan told MomMom and Al, who had come to watch, that Tobin is one of the best shooters on the team, but he is still working out some of the football cobwebs!  That was nice to hear!  He also told them that before the game, Foringer told the team that "this is the game where you are going to look back and realize that this game changed the direction of our game for the rest of the season.  That this would be the game where the hunger began."  Pretty prophetic words, I would say!
