After the 5th grade promotion ceremony, the school lets us take them out to lunch to celebrate. They need to be back at 2:15 for yearbook signing, but that's it! For all three of my children, we have maximized the time by having a pool party! This year the boys joined us. There were so many students there; it was so much fun! What started out as a gathering of about 12 girls ended up to be about 40 kids with the boys.
They had a great time! Who doesn't love a pool party! We had chicken nuggets from Chick fil-a, pizzas, chips, pretzels, fruit, salads, brownies, cookies, cake, and ring pops. We had bubbles, beaded necklaces, beach balls, and inflatable ring toss games. There was so much to eat and so much to do. I saw Brenna many times running with friends around the pool deck and hanging out in the water. It was awesome! This was the perfect way to celebrate going to middle school.
